How can I Beat the Heat without Electricity Tommorow August 14?
Q. I'm wondering what I can do to stay cool tommorow since I will not have Electricity tommorow(from 7:30am to 3:00pm) due to the Geniuse's at So-Cal Edison deciding to make repairs during one of then Hottest months of the year!!! This totally sucks no Internet, No Telivison,No Video games, No nothing that uses electricity.

A. Before the power goes out, put some jugs of water and some canned drinks in the refrigerator (NOT the freezer). Then tomorrow morning, go down to the convenient store with a big cooler and fill it with ice. When you bring it back to the house, pour the cold water into the cooler and toss in the cold canned drinks. Don't put too much water in the cooler because you don't want to melt the ice too quickly. One part cold water with 3 parts ice should be fine. Grab an old t-shirt that you can still wear and dunk it in the ice water before putting it on. Keep dunking it in the ice water whenever you start to get hot again. The ice should last all day as long as you start with cold water and cold drinks before you put them into the cooler… [cont.]
