Q. It takes about 6 months to train U.S. soldiers and marines - 2 months basic training - 2 months advanced infantry tactics, and another 2 - 6 months to become proficient with their weapons and equipment. Many of those serving in Iraq have much less time in service than the time the U.S. has spent on training Iraqi citizens. And according to the news reports, it's going to be another 12 - 18 months before the Iraqi army and police force have sufficient training, - I just don't buy that !! Since it's not a lot of money, try and see if currency appreciates in value. By chance you have lost it all, it should not significantly dent your financial future. But remember, Iraq is fighting war within it's country and the country itself is war torn severely. Under the circumstances, there is hardly any assurance of its political as well as economic stability. So, you decide what to do since buying Iraqi denar is similar to putting your money into a slot machine at Vegas. Answered by Kay - Mon Oct 27 20:51:04 2008 Congress wants to leave the Iraqi government because it's failed to meet benchmarks, does this work both ways?
Q. If you think about it, Congress says the Iraqi government failed to get 13 out of 18 benchmarks that Congress set in front of them. With psycos killing more than a hundred people a week with bombs and assasinations, Congress thinks that the government there is moving too slowly. Congress promised us that it would do all sorts of stuff in it's first hundred hours in office. They were able to make the "first 100 hours" last months, it may well still be going. Nobody is shooting at them, the only thing getting attacked is the President's popularity. Congress's biggest success was increasing the minimum wage (a little bit harder to do than making toast) and their world famous "nonbinding resolution to end the war" wich is like saying… [cont.] Asked by stevedude256 - Thu Aug 30 11:31:55 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A.
