From Penn Station, hop on the 1, 2, or 3 and head uptown one stop to 42nd Street-Times Square. From there, take the 7 train one stop to Bryant Park-42nd Street. Change there for the B, D, F, or V. The B and D are the 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) express trains, and the F and V are the locals.
