Asian may refer to:

• In context with the Ancient Egyptians, Asiatic is used to mean - beyond the borders of Egypt and the continent of Africa to the east, but only of western Asia (what might be considered Middle East now)
• Asian people - the people of the continent of Asia
  • North Asians, includes people west of the Urals and the Ural river, north of East and Central Asia. Includes Yakuts, Tungusic people, Uralic peoples east of the Urals and the Ainu, fallowed by minorities. See: Ethnic Minorities in Russa.
  • East Asians, including Japanese, Chinese, and Koreans often called Asians in the United States.
  • Southeast Asians, including Vietnamese, Filipinos, and Cambodians. Some of these are also included in the American usage of the term "Asian."
  • South Asians, often called Asians in the United Kingdom (includes the Indian Subcontinent)
