Elected is the latest EP by Dutch Progressive metal project Ayreon. It was released on April 25, 2008 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and on April 28 in the rest of Europe. It features the guest performance of Tobias Sammet from Avantasia and Edguy. The EP contains an Alice Cooper cover, an acoustic guitar and voice version of "E=MC²" and the track "Ride the Comet", both from the album 01011001. There is also a piano version of The Human Equation's "Day Six: Childhood". Some reviewers and also the CD-Text information on the CD itself call the EP The Universal Ayreonaut. I'm so interested to see what will happen. I'm hoping to have somebody more sensitive to the issues in black communities, woman's advancement, public education and universal healthcare. I don't think its just about skin color and gender though, Clinton the prequel took an interest in inner cities and unemployment and connecting with a different class of people (not just minorities, but anyone who is struggling). I just hope who ever takes office is honest with the American people and really has our interest at heart. Enough politics and pretending we're the world's savior when we can't take care of our own people. I'm all for aiding other countries (when that aid is solicited) but how can we help others when we can't help ourselves?
