How is the rental market in Kansas City?
Q. I'm an investor and I'd like to know if the rental market is solid in the Kansas City area. Is there any information published with statistics?
Asked by Lacey G - Wed Jun 13 13:47:00 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Lacy, I hope I can help you. Kansas City hit an all time rental low from about 2005-2006. As of 2007 we have started to rebound. The market is not what is was three or four years ago but it is improving. Like all cities KC has good and bad areas. First of all you must pay strict attention to where you are considering investing! Kansas City, Mo was recently selected as the 16th most violent city in the nation. Read This: Go to and look at the crime maps. You can see on these maps the burglary and car theft and even homicide hotspots. Many areas of KC are out of control, if your property is vacant your plumbing, HVAC and even storm doors and gutters will be stripped from the home. On the other hand there are many great areas of KC… [cont.]

How to get autographs at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City?
Q. For Vacation I am going to Kansas City, we are going to watch the Royals play, I wanted to get a few autographs from Greinke, Soria, and Butler. Where do I have to go to get the autographs? During batting practice? Zack Greinke will pitch the game vs the Twins.

A. The best way is to arrive during Batting practice when the Gates open or take an Early Bird Tour which lets you view batting practice an hour early. I don't mean to disappoint ya but those are three of the most difficult autographs to get :( I know Greinke rarely signs autographs if he's pitching that day and it's typically to people on the field (Corporate Sponsors) Soria hardly ever signs autographs. Butler may be a stretch but he is a little more fan friendly espicially if you have little Kids with you. You may have more success getting autographs from David DeJesus, Mitch Maier, Mike Aviles, etc. You can also sit in the Bats Crown Club but those seats are pricey. Be happy getting an autograph from someone like David DeJesus. If they… [cont.]

How can I get from Springfield, MO to Kansas City, MO if I don't own a car?
Q. I want to go home to Denver for Thanksgiving but I don't have a car, and flights out of Springfield are significantly more expensive than flights out of Kansas City. Any suggestions?
Asked by A - Thu Aug 26 13:20:10 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. A few options: 1) Shuttle services - there are numerous shuttle services that provide service to KCI, and the KCI website has a page listing several of them (linked in sources below). I see one lists the entirety of MO as their service area, and others may handle Springfield as well. 2) Carpool. Post on Craigslist in the KC section and the Springfield section when and where you need to be, see if anyone else is headed there, and willing to drive you for the gas money. Also, MODOT might have something on their website - I'm linking to the carpool page they have, but not sure how useful it will be. 3) Rent a car. This may very well be cheaper than a shuttle service, and more reliable than catching a ride with someone else. If nothing… [cont.]
