Any suggestions as how to start successfully on your Mary Kay business?
Q. For those of you who are Mary Kay consultants, any tips/suggestions how to start out successfully on your Mary Kay business? I'm nervous + have fears that I will fail in starting my business. Not to mention I don't have enough money to even start out my business.

A. I am not a Mary Kay consultant, but I want to comment to you and help you a bit. The number one reason a business fails is under capitalization,,,If you dont have the money to start this,,,dont! Start saving your money! Get a bit saved and then look at the opportunity again. In the mean time,,,Look at what you can do to make some money on the side that does not require a major investment. Is there a service that you can provide? Service business usually have low costs to get started and can make you a nice profit. Good Luck!!!

What grade does Mary need on the fifth exam to get a B in the course?
Q. A mean average of 83 or greater for five exams is needed for a final grade of B in a course. Mary s first four exam grades are 73, 88, 85, and 80. What grade does Mary need on the fifth exam to get a B in the course? Show or explain your reasoning.

A. If Mary needs an 83 and we have 4 out of 5 grades, we can set up an equation taking the average of her grades with the unknown: 83 = (73 + 88 + 85 + 80 + x)/5 415 = 326 + x x = 89 So she's going to need an 89 to get at least an 83 average.

Mary's father, James V, King of Scots, was first cousin to Elizabeth. --- MQS first entered northern England for the first time after she had given birth to her son James, and been overthrown from her throne in Scotland.
