How do you work out relative atomic mass from relative formula mass?
Q. Where 'M' is an unknown metal Calculate the relative formula mass of MCO3: The answer is 84.2 Use your answer to deduce the relative atomic mass of metal M and suggest its identity How do you do this? The answer says its 84.2 - 60 = 24.3 which is Mg, but where does 60 come from?

A. M is unknown so we left it M relative atomic mass of C = 12 relative atomic mass of O3 = 3(16) = 48 then calculate the total relative atomic mass of the CO3 =(12) + 3(16) which is 60 so the equation would be like this M + (12) + 3(16) = 84.2 M + 60 = 84.2 M = 24.3 hope it helps :)

What can we do to protect ourselves if a relative decides to commit identity theft?
Q. A relative came and stayed at our home for a few days. They had access to our home when we were at work and so they could have easily gotten all of our information. Now I find that they have stolen from other relatives and committed identity theft in the past! Is there anything we can do to protect ourselves from accounts being opened or loans made in our name?

A. Yes! The first thing you need to do is notify your bank that this happened. Many banks will offer a free credit protection program for people who may have been victims. If they don't, they can refer you to reputable businesses who assist you in monitoring your credit report. Anytime someone tries to open an account in your name or do anything with your social security number, a red flag goes up. If they are granted a credit card, you will immediately call that credit card company and cancel the card, telling them that your identity has been stolen and you are not responsible for any charges made.
