What type of spanish to rich people speak as compared to the poor spanish people?
Q. Like, the rich spanish people who own big homes in gated neighborhoods and drive expensive vehicle, what type of spanish to they speak? Then, what type of spanish do the poor spanish people speak (the ones that don't live in the expensive gated communities)? To the answered with screen name "?", that was a good answer.

A. Well, I would say that a poor person would be likely to have less education and would have worse grammar and use more slang as a result, but thats true of any language. However, there is an accent that my family calls "chilango" that sounds dumb and is usually spoken by poor people in places like DF or Tijuana, though not always. Im not saying they are dumb, they just sounds silly. Think a Georgia or Alabama accent.

How come some San Antonians dont know spanish and they consider themselves to be Mexican?
Q. Its a shame to be part of the mexican culture and not know a word in spanish. They like Tejano music like Selena, Bobby Pulido, Tropa F, intocable and so on but dont speak spanish. Cmon guys if you like tejano at least know how to speak some spanish. If you dont know who Los tigres del Norte are, then you aint Mexican.

How does the SPANISH IN MEXICO compare to Spanish spoken in Spain?
Q. I want to learn Spanish, but don't know which Spanish. Which Spanish should I learn? I am looking for programs online to buy, but don't know which one to choose. Maybe someone here has some good advice. I don't live close to a city where I can take courses, so it has to be some interactive video or program. Thanks

A. Nearly all of the Spanish taught in the US is Central American Spanish. For the most part, the spanish spoken in all of South America and Central America is the same (but there are hundreds of dialects, just like in English). The Spanish spoken in Spain is much more formal and the usage of the 2nd person plural (vosotros) is only found in Spain. All spanish programs will teach you Vosotros, but it will not be stressed in the classroom programs.
